Foreign Affairs and International Relations Bestsellers, 2005

The journal   Foreign Affairs   is published six times a year by the   Council on Foreign Relations  . It is America's most prestigious journal in the fields of foreign affairs and international relations.

In April, 2004, it began publishing a   monthly list   of bestsellers on its Web site. With the July/August 2004 issue, it began a comparable bimonthly list in its print edition.

Both lists include the top fifteen bestsellers in the fields of foreign affairs and international relations and both are based on national sales at Barnes & Noble stores and Barnes & Noble.com. Some books appear only on monthly online lists; some only on bimonthly printed lists, and some on both lists.

Information about the presence or absence of an index is based on data in the book's MARC tags retrieved from the   Library of Congress Online Catalog  . The table indicates the presence of an index only if the word index appears in the book's MARC field tag 500, usually in a phrase such as Includes index or Includes bibliography and index. It indicates the absence of an index if the word index does not appear in the book's MARC field tag 500 or if field tag 500 is not one of the book's MARC tags. Occasionally, information in the table is based on data in field tag 504 rather than field tag 500.

A summary follows the data about the individual books.
